Interview

It all sounds like the plot of a movie. Did it really happen like that?
Yes, unfortunately, I remember it all vividly. I will never forget it. Besides, I said so and wrote to the police. Total helplessness. In my entire life, I have never met a worse person than this driver.

How did the police react when they arrived?
That was another terrible shock. Upon arrival, the aggressive driver switched to a completely calm mode. He seemed to expect all this and was used to similar situations. The two police officers who were called were inexperienced and showed great reluctance to deal with the case. They just took a few pictures and listened to our versions of events.

What did the aggressor say?
He made up a story that he was turning right and we accidentally collided. Not only is this a complete lie, but it also doesn't match the damage to the car and the position of our vehicles. He claims that the collision happened at a completely different intersection. That's complete nonsense. If we had collided there, why would we have both continued driving and stopped at another intersection?

The damage to the car and the position of our vehicles did not match. What is the police's opinion?
None. The Austrian police literally told me that they are not here to decide whose fault it is. So they are not interested in who did it and why.

What did your statement say?
I described the story exactly as it happened. I even admitted that I responded to his rude gestures. I paid €36 for the report, and when it arrived in my email later, I was shocked. Another shock awaited me!

What other shock do you mean?
My statement had been completely changed! The police officer deliberately, intentionally changed my statement. It's a lie, I don't understand why the police would do something like that. I feel terribly helpless.

Did you point this out to them?
Yes, of course. I wrote them several emails. I protested against the false testimony in writing, but no one wants to communicate with me. That is precisely why I am publishing this information. I would like to see justice done. All I got out of it was lifelong trauma, a wrecked car, and the knowledge that the Austrian police lie and cannot be counted on for help.

What is your motivation?
All I want is justice. I want this driver to stop being a coward and admit his guilt. And, of course, I want to be compensated for the damage to my car.

A coward, you say
Yes, this aggressor is a coward who uses the car in which he transports his young daughter and wife as a weapon and a tool for revenge. A person who cannot admit that he has made a mistake is a coward. He is not a man, he is a spineless coward.
